Our Team/Staff

Behind every MoCo CAP student experience is a dedicated team of Career Coaches, educators, and partners working together to prepare students for their future.

MoCo CAP is Montgomery County’s response to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future legislation and its college and career readiness goals.

Operated through the Career Education Services (CES) Department at WorkSource Montgomery, MoCo CAP places trained Career Advising Coaches in every Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) middle, high, and special school.

The CES Department works closely with the MCPS Division of Career and Postsecondary Partnerships and Career Advising (DCPPCA) — the division within MCPS that manages more than 350 Career Champions. These MCPS educators work alongside MoCo CAP Career Coaches, to incorporate RIASEC themes and interest-based conversations into classroom instruction as a follow-up to one-on-one and small-group career discussions.

MCPS Cluster Leads help coordinate the work of Career Champions and support Career Coaches by assisting with student access, organizing activities that require parent permission, and helping with events.
