MoCo CAP Career Advising Coaches work alongside MCPS staff as a no-cost College and Career Readiness (CCR) resource for students in grades 6–12. Coaches help young people build lifelong career management skills by:

  • Identifying their strengths and areas for growth
  • Defining their goals and priorities for the future
  • Planning and coordinating career-related events and exploration experiences

Coaches also guide students in exploring the four MCPS Post-CCR Pathways:

While Career Coaches do not place students into jobs, they help them understand their strengths and values, and connect them with resources to pursue opportunities that fit their skills and interests.

Students can also get involved by joining their schools’ MoCo CAP Student Advisory Council. Ask your Career Coach to learn how!
