A community of practice is a group of people sharing a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic, and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals.
Our community of practice for career readiness is developing over time and as our knowledge, experiences, and practices grow:
- Access to research on best practices in career learning
- Practical conversations about what works
- Sharing lessons learned
- Prototyping new resources
- Gathering feedback to adjust the implementation of college, career, and community readiness.
WSM is exploring a number of ways to support this community of practice based on feedback from the “users” of these resources (teachers, career advisors, business partners, students, families, and other groups).
